Eric The Explorer is highly visual and also bags of fun for all the family. Not only that, there is a interactive multi media element that makes this act truly unique.

As a street entertainer Mike began in Covent Garden in the golden age of the late 1980s. Since then he has travelled all over the world. Festivals he has performed in include: Gateshead International Garden Festival; Oerol; Dublin International Street Performer's Festival; Linz Festival; Singapore Waterfront Festival; Christchurch World Buskers Festival; Bankside Bastile Day Festival and is a regular at Glastonbury International Festival of The Performing Arts. Companies worked for include: British Airways; Loncome; Swatch; Vinopolos and many more.

Other work as an actor and cabaret artist includes: Writing and starring in the award winning one man show Brain Rinse; Acting at Stephen Joseph Theatre (with Sir Alan Ayckbourn CBE) and performing cabaret at the prestigious Cape Town Funny Festival.

Eric The Explorer is a high impact visual/character based street walkabout act with a unique interactive soundscape feature.

Eric Whittington Peabrain Smythe, polar explorer, mountaineer and president of The Brain Blessed Fan Club is desperately trying to get home to his family. His trek from The South Pole is blighted however by being stuck in a raging blizzard that he can't get rid of, even when he hits the tropics. And to make matters worse he keeps getting mistaken for Santa. Will he get home in time for Christmas? will he ever see his family again? and will he ever stop moaning about it?!

Devised and performed by experienced entertainer Mike, Eric The Explorer is An entertaining and engaging walkabout for all the family. Although the act has wide appeal it's particularly suitable for: Christmas markets, winter events and ice events.

As the testimonials show, there as many reasons to choose Eric The Explorer for your event, but here's three really goon ones.

1) Performer and deviser Mike has over three decades of experience of all forms of street theatre. He adds great entertainment value to this act.
2) A quirky visual image and a high quality bespoke built in sound system adds impact and originality.
3) Portability of props reduces touring costs which we pass on to you.

All this makes Eric The Explorer as entertaining and impressive as any walkabout act, but at a very reasonable price.

We will sorely miss the laughter and applause that accompanied your act
Thank you! You entertained not only the public of Canal Walk, but the owners and staff of Signals Audio, as well. You brought something new and exciting to Cape Town and for that you will be fondly remembered for a very long time. Your cheerful disposition and enthusiasm were like a wonderful ray of sunshine on otherwise dull days! The happiness you brought to the faces of both young and old should make you confident of a job well done. We will sorely miss the laughter and applause that accompanied your act.

I have never seen anything so funny in all my life
We saw you at the Edinburgh Fringe yesterday and you got my husband to be the exclamation mark in the YMCA line up. I have never seen anything so funny in all my life and our 8 year old son says he will remember it for the rest of his life. Thank you for making our visit to Edinburgh Fringe so memorable and keep up the fantastic entertainment.

We′ll look out for you on the TV
I am writing to thank you very much for a great act at our Charity Ball on Friday. The Ball was a great success overall everyone had a great evening and we are optimistic that we have reached our fund raising target of £35,000. We thought you were great. The eccentric waiter and the cabaret act were very popular. As you know, all of the monies raised will go to buy a new mini−bus (specially equipped to disabled people) for the Hornbeams Day Centre in Welwyn Garden City and we hope to be able to complete the purchase in the next few weeks. I wanted to thank you for your efforts and wish you well for the future. We′ll look out for you on the TV.

Seldom do you find a performer that completely captivates an audience without uttering a single word
Seldom do you find a performer that completely captivates an audience without uttering a single word. Not just a mime, Mike is an actor, a comedian and a visual artist who needs to be seen to believed.

Mike puts on a great performance
Mike puts on a great performance and manages to entertain all children (and adults) with his wit, charm and character changes, etc. I have two sons aged six and five. They both love it and look forward to going to the theatre to see next showing. The only fault I have with Tiny Time Tales is seeing so many disappointed children each Saturday who are wanting tickets to hear the story read, only to be turned way because all the tickets are gone.

Thoughtful, thought provoking, polished and above all very entertaining.
