Information
Professional singer/songwriters and musicians, Renee Sears and Gerry Power met in 2003 and formed their duo, Big River.
Since then they have built up an exceptional reputation as versatile entertainers suitable for audiences at any type of event from small intimate dinner parties, weddings and hotels to corporate functions: and over their 13 years together they have performed at hundreds of Masonic Ladies Nights.
Gerry plays electric and acoustic guitar and both have excellent lead, backing and harmony vocals.
They perform to excellent backing tracks for a full party sound or play acoustic sets for the smaller or more intimate venues. Or indeed, a mixture of both.
They add to their varied and versatile repertoire regularly which includes songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's. Genres include pop, jazz, swing, the standards, country, rock and roll, soul and
Motown. They can also specialize in country and jazz.
Regularly supporting some very famous names including Tom O'Connor and The Swinging Blue Jeans, they
also perform in some of The UK's most prestigious venues and have held residencies in some of the top
London hotels, for Brittany Ferries, Gala Casinos and Warner-Leisure. Renee has performed on BBC1 with
world renowned violinist, Vanessa Mae.
Happy to learn a new song for a wedding, anniversary or special occasion, and happy to travel anywhere
throughout The UK and Europe. Their own locality is on the borders of Bucks and Berks.
They have public liability insurance of up to £10,000,000, PAT tested equipment, an excellent PA system, stage lights and an extensive collection of music on CD and iPod to play during a meal or in their breaks.
