DONNA
Songs from the 20s to the 80s
Information
Donna began her singing career at the age of 15 singing Country music to small audiences in and around Oxfordshire. At the age of 21 she appeared at the Oxford Apollo Theatre (now the 'New Theatre') in the first ever Oxford Country Music Festival. At the same time she also made her first recording on what was then a vinyl record.
In 1987 she joined the 'Warner Leisure' entertainment team at Yarmouth Holiday Village on the Isle of Wight and again in 1988 at St Clare Holiday Village.
The following year she appeared on Sky's 'Star Search' talent show shere Sheila Fergusson (Three Degrees) said she had a 'very in-tune voice' and compared her to a female John Denver and judge Leslie Crowther said she gave a 'very professional performance'.
Donna took a break in the 1990s to marry and start a family but now she is back entertaining in smaller venues including care homes, over-60s clubs, small venues and restaurants where she sings Country songs and also songs from the 50s through to the 80s.
Donna's bubbly personality is uplifting and you can see how much she enjoys what she does. She sings with backing tracks but also plays live guitar on many of her songs.
