SOLO BEE GEES TRIBUTE
Information
The Bee Gees are the all-time top family recording act with 100 million plus sales. Their Saturday Night Fever album is the biggest selling soundtrack and they were the first group to have UK top 20s in five decades. They are worthy winners of the World Music Legend Award (1997) and Brits Outstanding Contribution to British Music (1997). What better reason could there be for this tribute?
On stage Bee Gee makes good use of his falsetto vocals for the Barry Gibb parts on tracks such as "Tragedy", "Night Fever" and "Stayin’ Alive" and complements this with his spine-tingling renditions of ballads like "Words" and "I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You".
Coupled with this is his ability to portray the unmistakeably subtle voice of Robin on tracks such as "Massachusetts".
Armed with guitar and state of the art digital backing complete with harmonies, all the top Bee Gee hits are accurately covered.
The complete one man show...
With a wealth of experience stemming back to the late 70s and early 80s playing in top bands on the northern clubs circuit Russ has put together a one-man show of excellent quality in which he calls upon a repertoire of hundreds of songs.
His unique falsetto voice is particularly adept in performing songs from stars such as The Bee Gees and Frankie Valli.
Along with his excellent voice, guitar-work and personality, the key to his success is a blend of music from the 50’s and 60’s through the memorable times of the 70s and 80s to present day. All coupled with a touch of humour and a razor-sharp wit.
Backing himself on guitar and using the latest digital sound technology Russ is a truly superb down-to-earth entertainer and colourful character and has previously been employed in an entertainment management capacity with successful summer seasons at various holiday resorts.
He has also recorded his own compositions.
